When creating the production track after a long gap for my site, I get the Tracking date as the present date getting the “Period not open” error message. Refer to the below screenshot 1 for an understanding-

In the above image production site AE011, I have given the Tracking date as the present date, however, I get the above error because of the Period not opened for that particular site.
Follow the below process to solve the error-
Navigate to: – Common data > general accounting tables > Periods
In the below image Company, AE10 has not opened the present period respected to the present year that we creating production tracking. To open the periods click on the Opening button on the top right side of the screen. Refer to the below screenshot 2

After clicking on the opening button, the system will open a period open window as below in screenshot 3. Click on OK it will open the periods.

Then the system will open the periods that you selected as below in screenshot 4

We can try the production tracking; the system will not show the error. Thus, the process to open periods in SageX3v12
