Follow the below process to achieve this.
Navigate to: – Sales > Returns > Customer returns
Go to the customer returns function, create a return by using a delivery from the left list, enter the return reason, and then create it. Once you create the return, the lines on the record no more allow us to edit. Refer to the below screenshot 1 for a better understanding.
In the above screenshot, we can see that line having the product BMS001 and Retuned qty 30 has been created, and the returned quantity field does not allow us to modify the quantity.
So, now click on the line actions button and select the change receipts option; a new window will open. Refer to the below screenshots 2 and 3.
You can observe that in the above screenshot 3, the quantity field is editable at the line level, so we can change the quantity that we desired to return. Please refer to the below screenshot 4.
After clicking on the save button system will ask for a confirmation question; click on YES on it. Please refer to the below screenshot 5.
Now go back to the return record so that you can see their return quantity has changed. Please look at the below screenshot 6.
