In this blog, we will learn how to apply access rights at the field level in Sage X3. Access codes are the codes that are used to protect the information or the functions in reading, writing, and execution mode (when the context permits it). Follow the steps below to apply access rights at the field level:
Navigation: All–>Setup–>Users–>Access codes.
- Add the access code and description, then click on save. Now we can use these access codes on the screen at the field level.
Navigation: All–>Development–>Script dictionary –>Screens.
- Assign the Access code to the field level to restrict access to the field reserved for customization.
- In the fields tab, in the access code column, enter the access code. Click on the save button and then do validation.
