When a Sage X3 user tries to create an invoice, it may happen that the system stops with the error message “Business partner incompatible with the control account.” To address the same, follow the below steps:
Navigate to: Sales > Invoices > invoices
While creating the sales invoice user selects the Accounts payable (20100) account under the ZAB Chart of accounts, and the system throws an error message. Please refer to the below Screenshot 1 and 2
Follow the below process to address this error.
Navigate to: Common data > General accounting table > accounts, as in Screenshot 3
Click on the Accounts function, then select the respected Chart of accounts and Account code as shown in the below screenshot 4
Now go to the Miscellaneous tab, set the BP authorization from NO to YES for Customer, and save the changes. Please refer to the below screenshot 5.
After these changes, try to create the invoice with the account payable; the system will not push any error message.
