SageX3 V12 lets X3 developers encounter situations where they need a popup window to let them select a particular data from a list. In Sage Enterprise Management we have a function called CHOOSE. This function allows the SageX3 users to open a window that contains a list of records of predefined data or fields from a particular table. It is basically used for a selection of records that are in grid view.

Refer to the Syntax below for a better understanding-

Syntax:

  Choose class

•    [Where Where_exp]  [Order by Order_by_exp]

Where_exp:– selection expression of where condition.

Order_by_exp:– Key expression.

Using field list

• [Sized dimension] – Size of the selection box on the screen.
• [Titled box title] – Title of the selection box on the screen.
• [Starting At Start_exp] – Logical expression specifying the record on which the cursor must be positioned.

Example:

Let us consider an example of a selection window when we enter the Purchase order number in the purchase order function like shown in Screenshot 1 below-

After entering the purchase order number, it will open a selection box as shown in below Screenshot 2
