How to set a Default Field value in screen in Sage X3V12?

As an ERP user, it is easy to create records by setting the default value for the fields. In this blog, we will learn how to set a default field value in Sage X3 V12.

Steps to set a default field value in Sage X3:

 Navigation: All? Development? Script Dictionary?Screens?Screens

• Here we will consider the screen in which we want to set the default value.
• Select the field tab.
• Select the particular field for which we want to set a default value. Here we have considered the “ZUNI” field.
• In the default value column, we will enter the value. Here we have considered “KG” as shown in Image 1.
• After entering the default value save and validate the screen.

NOTE: If we consider the standard screens, we need to validate the entry transactions.
