We will learn how to trigger a workflow in Sage X3 ERP using code. This would help us (developers) to perform a customization by activating the workflow. A workflow can be created for various modules, such as sales, purchase, stock, and so on, using various event types in Sage X3 ERP module.
Follow there simple steps to create a workflow in Sage X3 V12-
Step 1: Navigate to All -> Setup -> Workflow -> Workflow rules as shown in the screenshot below-
Step 2: After creating the workflow in Sage enterprise management module, as discussed in step #1, you can call the workflow through the code as mentioned in the screenshot below-
The above calling function as in step #2, is used to trigger the workflow, which you have created in the workflow rules. However, here are the Parameters from the screenshot #2 that you must know-
Parameters:
- TYPEVT: This parameter is used to define the event type. In this case, whatever event type is specified, the sequence number is also specified.
- CODEVT: This value is used as an event code. If there is some event code, it should be passed in the code itself.
- OPERAT: Operation is the name given to this parameter. In this operation code is used.
- CLEOBJ: This parameter is used as a workflow rule code.
