In this blog, we will learn how to download a file on a client workstation in Sage X3V12. Once we create the file in the desired location we can move the file from one folder to another folder.
To receive a file in Sage X3, we provide a subprogram ‘COPCLI’. We download the file through a browser with the help of a file path as a parameter. Below is the syntax through which we can download a file on a client workstation.
SYNTAX: COPCLI (PATH, PATH, STAT)
Where-
- Here PATH represents the source file path
- Here STAT Returns the status
By doing some slight modifications in the code we can successfully download the file on the client workstation. Screenshot 1 explains the modifications in the code-

Here we have taken an example for better understanding and created a CSV file in the TMP folder at the server and called the subprogram ‘COPCLI’ which is used to download the file on the client workstation which is connected through a browser, as in the Screenshot 2 below-
