Import scenario issue: The last cost is not getting updated when trying to import stock items in Acumatica

A dependable ERP system is invaluable for any business looking to track and evaluate sales performance. In this blog, Acumatica users can gain key insights on how to solve the  
“Import scenario issue: Last Cost not getting updated when importing stock items.” 

 There might be scenarios while trying to import stock items in Acumatica; the Last Cost field might not get imported for the external file even when the Valuation Method = Average as shown below.

Hence, the following Import Scenario can be created to get the field imported. 

  1. After defining the data provider on the Data Provider () form, head to the Import Scenario () form to map the fields.

Map the fields in the Import Scenario as shown below.

After mapping fields, open the Import by Scenarios form and search for the above-created Import Scenario. 
Click either the Prepare & Import button for 1-step migration or the Prepare button & then on the Import button for 2-step migration. 
The status is now changed to Processed, meaning the migration has been done successfully.

Now open the Stock Items screen & search for the imported stock items. 
Here, we have imported one stock item- Stock1. 
Open the Price/Cost tab.

  1. Hence, the Last Cost field has been imported and converted to an editable field.
