In the Sage ERP system, visual process flows facilitate graphical representation of the transaction cycle and easier navigation to the relevant tasks and functions. Setting a visual process flow offers an alternative way to navigate through the application.
As a Sage X3 Erp System user, follow the following steps:
- Create a process flow
- Create a menu item and link menu item to that process.
- Add the menu item in the home page.
Step 1: Create a process flow
Navigation: Setup > Interactive Dashboard > Processes
Create a new process by proving a process code and select type as a process, as shown in Screenshot 1, below-
Purchase flow is designed in the drawing tab by using the process editor tools which are in the drawing tab. As Sage ERP system developers, we can add different symbols through the process editor and make a purchase flow. Look at the below screenshot to understand more, as in Screenshot 2 below-
After completing of the designing of the process flow of purchasing then link that option to that particular function based on link icon, as in the Screenshot below-
Here we need to add a link to those options which are mentioned in the drawing tab.
After the creation of process flow then click on the “Validate” button as in Screenshot 5
Step 2: Create the menu item:
Navigation: Administration > Authoring > Menu Items
Next in the Sage ERP system, we create a menu item with “Activity code process code” and select link type as “Process” and give the process code in the process field, refer to Screenshot 6 below-
Step 3- Add menu item to home page:
Navigation: Administration > Authoring > Home Pages
After clicking on the buyer, we will get navigated to the following screen-
Subsequently, we click on the action button then click on the “Edit” button.
Click on the ‘’+’’ symbol to add in that home page.
Then select the menu item in the gadget column which you have created in Sage X3 V12, and save the record.
Then you check whether the process flow is linked or not like shown in Screenshot 12 below-
This is how the visual process of purchase flow looks like, further, we can go to that particular function by clicking on the requisite link.
