How to Display Wait Message in Sage X3 (Sage Enterprise Management)

In Sage X3 if we tend to run any method it might become difficult for user to anticipate the current progress state. It may happen that a method takes longer time than usual. Thus it becomes critical for the user to understand the current progress state of a process, wether it is still ongoing or is at a finish stage.

The current progress standing info of a task is feasible by using-

1) Receiving wait messages

2) Progress bar

Sage X3 provides an easy code that can calls for the wait messages. The default Text is “operation in progress”. We tend to use some common texts like-

  • V — validation in process …
  • F —- verification in process …
  • L — read in process …
  • E — write-in process …
  • A —- cancellation in process …
  • R — search in process …
  • C — calculation in process …

Below is that the code that can invoke the wait message

 Call TEMPON (““) From GESECRAN

In the above syntax, the message is displayed like the screenshot below-

For the above code parameter for the TempON is not passed, the message displayed is the default one i.e. “Operation in Progress”.
